Join Kate as she teams up with award-winning chefs Michael Salmon (chef, owner of the Hartstone Inn) and Zeph Belanger (sous chef at the Hartstone Inn) for two packed hours of hands-on chocolate making. Kate will demonstrate chocolate tempering techniques, shell and figurine moulding, and the making of chocolate decorations. She will do her best, too, to answer your burning questions about chocolate.

This event winds up an entire weekend of fabulous food and events celebrating the Peninsula’s chef’s and artisan food producers.
We will be introducing our new Farm Market Collection at this event! Eleven new truffles, each featuring a product from a farm or garden on the Blue Hill Peninsula!

You can visit with Steve, sample our chocolate and even buy some and take some home at the Rockland Farmers’ Market on Thursdays, 9-1; and at the Stonington Farmers’ Market (located at the old high school), Fridays, 10-12.

Black Dinah Cafe Opens, May 24th
Come out and see us on Isle au Haut for our first day of the season. We’ll be handing out samples of some new flavors we’ll be rolling out this summer, plus serving up Kate’s fresh pastries (made, as always, with organic flours, sweeteners, local butter and eggs), fresh organic Maine-roasted coffee and hot tea. And the wi-fi is still free. We’ll be open weekends through June, then will begin our regular summer schedule (Wednesdays-Sundays) on July 2. Check out the cafe here.
